Hutchinson CC Sports Information

After having Monday's match against Colby postponed because of the weather, the Hutchinson Community College volleyball team now looks to Thursday and the Dodge City Conquistadors.

The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. The Blue Dragon Sports Network will provide a live stream beginning at 5:55 p.m.

Thursday's match will be the first for the Blue Dragons in front of fans. All seating for Thursday's match – in the designated red and yellow sections of the Arena – will go on sale for $5 at 5 p.m. at the Sports Arena ticket office.

The Dodge City match will be the only match of the week for Hutchinson after playing 11 times in the first two weeks of the season. Hutchinson went 2-2 in the West Plains Tournament last weekend and are 6-5 overall with a 2-2 mark in the Jayhawk West.

The Conquistadors are 1-6 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Through 11 matches, the Blue Dragons are hitting .223 as a team with 11.47 kills per set. The Dragons are averaging 2.16 blocks, 14.68 digs and 1.70 aces per set.

Sophomore outside hitter Jenna Thorne leads the Blue Dragons offensively at 3.44 kills per set with a .254 attack percentage. She also averaged 3.2 digs and 0.60 blocks per set. Thorne has a team-high seven double-doubles.

Freshman outside hitter Shadee Briggs is averaging 2.08 kills and hits .217. She averaged 2.23 digs per set.
