REED EARNS JAYHAWK WEST DEFENSIVE HONOR

Sophomore libero Raychel Reed was named the Jayhawk West Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against Barton last Wednesday at the Sports Arena.

The sophomore libero from Aurora, Colorado, had 21 digs against the Cougars in a three-set sweep (25-18, 25-17, 25-12).

Reed had her second 20-dig game of the season and 10th of her career in the sweep. Reed perfect on 12 service receptions. Reed added three set assists in the victory.

This is Reed's first conference player of the week honor of her career.
