The official pairings for the 2025 Division I Region 6 women's basketball tournament were released on Thursday and the Jayhawk Conference co-champion Hutchinson Community College women are the No. 2 overall seed in the 12-team tournament.
The Blue Dragons claimed a share of their 14th league title with a come-from-behind 75-67 overtime victory over Dodge City on Wednesday at the Sports Arena.
The No. 9-ranked Blue Dragons (27-3) and No. 7 Conquistadors (26-4) tied for the KJCCC title with 21-3 records and split their regular-season games, but Dodge City claimed the tie-breaker for the regional's No. 1 seed based on a regular-season sweep of Cowley, while the Dragons split their series with the Tigers.

The Blue Dragons earn a first-round bye on Saturday and will play the Colby-Cloud County winner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sports Arena. Colby (15-15) plays at Cloud County (17-12) in the opening round at 2 p.m. Saturday in Concordia.
Tickets for the Tuesday quarterfinal game go on sale at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 11. All Blue Dragon season ticket holders who want their seats for the game can purchase those tickets on Monday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. Fans who aren't season ticket holders can purchase general admission tickets and non-sold regular-season reserved seats during those times as well. All remaining tickets will be available when the gates open at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Blue Dragons are joined in the lower bracket by No. 3 Coffeyville, now ranked No. 20 in the final NJCAA Rankings. Coffeyville will play the Pratt-Seward County winner in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The semifinals and finals of the 2025 Region 6 Tournament will be played at Gross Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Fort Hays State University on March 14-15.
The defending Region 6 Tournament champion Blue Dragons are bidding for their 10th regional championship. Hutchinson has an all-time Region 6 Tournament record of 70-38.
