Winners of four-straight decisive contests, the Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team remained No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball rankings, released on Monday.
The Blue Dragons (21-1 overall, 15-1 in the KJCCC) defeated Colby 84-57 and Independence (90-49) last week. Hutchinson plays just one game this week, going to No. 22 Coffeyville on Wednesday.
The Blue Dragons have been ranked in the last 25-consecutive women's polls dating back to the Week 1 poll of the 2023-24 season. The Dragons have now been ranked in 184 of the last 206 polls.
New Mexico Junior College received all 12 first-place votes and remained No. 1 for the third-straight week. Northwest Florida State and Chipola flip-flopped spots in the poll after the Raiders won the re-match with the Indians. Three Rivers and Dodge City remained Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
With Coffeyville at No. 22, Butler is the other KJCCC team receiving mention, getting votes in the latest rankings.
