BLUE DRAGON CHEER SQUAD 2ND AT REGION VI CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Hutchinson Community College Spirit Squad had a very good Region VI Cheer and Dance Championships this past weekend in Salina.
Competing at Kansas Wesleyan University, the Blue Dragons earned a pair of second-place finishes and a third-place finish for first-year head coach Kala McElhaney.
The Blue Dragons finished second in the Large Co-ed Cheer Division.
The team of Austin Chambers and Lindsey Peuser finished second in the Partner Stunt Competition.
The Blue Dragons also finished third in the Team Hip-Hop Division.
Other Region VI teams competing were Cowley, Johnson County, Cloud County, Neosho County, Barton, Coffeyville, Independence, Colby and Allen.
