Bio
Former Blue Dragon player Alexis Mastin joins the Hutchinson Community College softball coaching staff for the 2026-27 season.
The Blue Dragons will be Mastin’s first coaching stop of her career. She graduated from Fort Hays State in May of 2026.
Playing for the Blue Dragons in 2023 and 2024, Mastin was part of the first Jayhawk Conference championship team in 31 years in her freshman season of 2023. As a sophomore in 2024, Mastin was one of the main players who led the Blue Dragons to their first Region 6 Tournament championship in 37 years and advanced to the program’s first-ever NJCAA Softball World Series.
For her career, Mastin hit .366 as a Blue Dragon (107 for 292). She had 22 career doubles and 24 career home runs and 119 career RBIs. Mastin still ranks No. 2 in Blue Dragon history in career home runs and fourth in career RBIs.
Mastin earned honorable mention all-KJCCC honors in her freshman season with a .372 batting average (51 for 137) with 14 doubles, 10 home runs and 50 RBIs.
As a sophomore, Mastin earned first-team All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 honors after hitting .361 (56 for 155) with eight doubles and 14 home runs with 69 RBIs.
A 2022 graduate of Goddard Eisenhower High School, Mastin graduated from Hutchinson Community College in 2024 with an Associate of Arts degree and completed her bachelors of science degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University in 2026.
A native of Wichita, Mastin is engaged to Cole Minton. She owns a black and white golden doodle named Smokey.
