BLUE DRAGON GOLFERS SLIP TO 3RD IN NJCAA RANKINGS

The Hutchinson Community College men's golf team dropped one spot to No. 3 in the first Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Rankings released on Friday.

The Blue Dragons finished fourth in their fall season opener on Monday and Tuesday at the Waco River Classic. McLennan won the tournament, followed by Midland, Weatherford and Hutchinson.

The new Top 5 has defending national champion Midland retaining its No. 2 spot. McLennan jumps from No. 6 to No. 2. The Dragons are third, then Indian Hills and Odessa.

Blue Dragon freshman Grant Hatzenbuehler tied for fourth in Texas to lead the Blue Dragons.

Hutchinson will next play at the Bent Tree Classic on Monday and Tuesday in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
