Going 1-1 on a two-game road trip, the Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team returns to the Hutchinson Sports Arena on Saturday looking to rebound from a pre-Thanksgiving setback.
The Blue Dragons (6-3, 1-2 KJCCC) look to return to .500 in the Jayhawk Conference with a 6 p.m. conference tilt against the much-improved Seward County Saints (6-3, 1-2 KJCCC) at 6 p.m. at the Sports Arena.
The game will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and on sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450/98.5) beginning at 5:45 p.m. with Sean Boston (PBP) and Dan Naccarato (color) calling the action. The game will be streamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network at 5:45 p.m.
After building a four-point halftime lead on Tuesday at Independence, the Blue Dragons had their first defensive half of the season as the Pirates shot 72.4 percent in the second half and outscored Hutchinson by 12 in an 88-80 Tuesday loss in Independence.

The bright spot came from sophomore Bobby Cannon, who tied for the 10th-most points scored in a single Blue Dragon game with a career-high 38 points against the Pirates. Cannon has two career 30-plus point games, both coming against Independence.
Now the Blue Dragons look to get back to being one of the top defensive teams in the KJCCC. Through the first six games of the season, the Dragons allowed 67.8 points per game. Over the first three KJCCC games, the Dragons have surrendered 84.7 points, albeit to the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 offensive teams in the league.
After starting the season 5-0 for new head coach Austin Downing, the Saints have dropped 3 of their last four games. Seward County has dropped league games to Cloud County and No. 15 Coffeyville. Their lone league win was against Colby.
Seward County has three players scoring in double figures led by Lyna Brooks Jr., who is averaging 12.0 points per game. Antonio Williams Jr. is averaging 11.3 points and Lucas N'Gombo is averaging 10.7 points per game.
The Saints are averaging 76.8 points per game offensively and are the No. 1 defensive team in the Jayhawk allowing 69.1 points per game.
The Hutchinson-Seward County men's basketball series started in 1970. The Blue Dragons hold an 88-31 all-time record over the Saints. The Blue Dragons have won 12 games in a row over Seward County, including a season sweep last season of 67-50 at the Sports Arena and 57-54 at the Green House.
