FORMER DRAGON CAMPBELL NAMED 2021 NFL ALL-PRO

Former Hutchinson Community College and current Green Bay Packers' linebacker De'Vondre Campbell was named first-team NFL All-Pro on Friday.
Campbell joins former Blue Dragon players Cordarrelle Patterson and Alvin Kamara as NFL All-Pro selections.
Campbell, who played at HutchCC in 2012 before transferring to the University of Minnesota, was drafted in the fourth round by the Atlanta Falcons with the 105th overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Campbell signed with the Packers on June 9, 2021, started all 17 games he appeared for Green Bay and led the defense with a career-high 145 tackles (101 solo), including six for a loss.
The sixth-year veteran – Campbell has also played for the Falcons and Arizona Cardinals - had two interceptions, two sacks, five passes defensed, two forced fumbles and recovery. He ranked seventh in the NFL among all defenders in tackles. Campbell was one of only three players (Derwin James, LAC; Antoine Winfield Jr., TB) with multiple Interceptions, sacks and forced fumbles.
Campbell is one of three Packers to earn All-Pro honors, joining quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receivers Devante Adams. The Packers finished the regular season 13-4 and won the NFC North Division. The Packers are the NFC's No. 1 seed for the playoffs and will receive an opening-round bye. The NFL playoffs open Saturday.
In his one season at Hutchinson in 2012, Campbell was a second-round all-Jayhawk Conference linebacker. The outside linebacker from Fort Myers, Florida.
He was second on the 2012 Blue Dragon team – 9-3 and Salt City Bowl champions – in tackles with 83 total stops, including 21 unassisted tackles. He also had three quarterback sacks, one interception and two passes broken up. That interception was returned for a touchdown against Fort Scott.
After HutchCC, Campbell went to the University of Minnesota. He played in 39 games over three years with the Golden Gophers.
He started in 11 of 13 games in his senior season and finished third on the 2015 team with 92 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and a team-high four sacks. He was named All-Big 10 Honorable mention honors as a senior.
