The Hutchinson Community College men's and women's cross country teams enter the 2019 NJCAA Championships on Saturday both ranked in the final USTFCCCA national rankings.

The Blue Dragon men are ranked No. 7 in the Men's national rankings, coming off a Region VI runner-up performance two weeks ago. The Blue Dragon women are No. 17 this week. The men remain steady in the rankings, while the Hutch women moved up a spot.

Cloud County remains No. 1 in the men's national rankings. Hutchinson is the next-highest Jayhawk Conference team at No. 7. Allen is No. 9 and Colby is 10th in the men's poll. Fort Scott, Highland and Butler are Nos. 20, 21 and 25, respectively.

Blue Dragon sophomore Andrew Kibet is the defending NJCAA individual champion.

Led by sophomore Sheila Too, the Blue Dragon women are looking for a second-straight Top 20 national finish. Cowley is the top-ranked Jayhawk Conference team at No. 6. Butler is 14th and Hutchinson is No. 17. Pratt is 19th and Colby is 23rd.

The Blue Dragon women are wanting to finish higher than Pratt, which edged the Dragons at the Region VI Tournament two weeks ago.
