HutchCC Sports Information

The Hutchinson Community College Volleyball Team is once again receiving national recognition in the NJCAA Division I Rankings released on Tuesday.

The 18-9 Blue Dragons are receiving votes in this week's rankings. It's the third time this season the Dragons have gone from out of the rankings into the receiving votes list. Hutchinson has yet to crack into the Top 20.

The Blue Dragons have played a rugged schedule so far with two more nationally ranked teams upcoming this weekend in West Plains, Missouri. Hutchinson has played seven ranked teams so far this season and has victories over then No. 4 Salt Lake and then No. 6 Indian Hills.

The current rankings have 10 teams the Blue Dragons have or will play that are ranked or receiving votes.

On Monday, the Blue Dragons defeated Butler in four sets and they will play host to a big Jayhawk West match on Wednesday at the Sports Arena against the Barton Cougars.

Seward County (24-1) remains No. 5 this week. Colby dropped out of the rankings this week after spending two weeks in the rankings.
