The Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team knows what has to be done in the final week of the regular season in order to gain at least a share of the 2019 Jayhawk West championship.

But to make a showdown with No. 18 Cloud County on Saturday at the Salthawk Sports Complex a battle for such a title, the Blue Dragons need to take care of business Wednesday at Pratt.

Kickoff is at 3 p.m. at the Pratt Soccer Field. Pratt Community College video will provide the live stream of the match.

After last Saturday's 6-0 home win over Dodge City, the Blue Dragons are 11-2 overall and 9-1 in the Jayhawk West with two games remaining. Cloud County is 12-2 overall and 10-0 in the league. Hutch's only conference setback was a 2-1 loss at Cloud County on September 25.

The Dragons have Pratt and Cloud County remaining on the schedule. The Thunderbirds have Barton at home on Wednesday before coming to the SSC on Saturday. If both Hutch and Cloud win on Wednesday, the Blue Dragons would have to defeat Cloud County to earn a share of the league title.

Since losing to Cloud, the Blue Dragons have reeled four-straight victories over Barton, Garden City, Hesston College and Dodge City by a combined score of 19-0.

The Blue Dragons defeated Pratt 5-0 on September 21 at the SSC.

Sophomore Naomi Waithira had two goals and two assists in the first meeting against Pratt. Marah Franke and Macy Smith each scored a goal and had an assist. Samantha Vaughn and Chavelle Henry also scored for the Blue Dragons, who outshot Pratt 37-2.

The Beavers, who are coached by former Blue Dragon player Ashley Burnett, have lost nine games in a row.

The Blue Dragons are 13-0 all-time against Pratt, all 13 wins have been by shutout.
