Three races into Andrew Kibet's freshman season with the Hutchinson Community College men's cross country team has netted three individual and three team championships.

His performances also have earned the Blue Dragon freshman a second National Runner of the Week award.

The United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named Kibet the NJCAA Division I Men's National Runner of the Week after winning the Emporia State Invitational on Saturday.

Kibet also was also the national runner of the week after winning the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic in August.

Kibet won his third men's individual title with a time of 26 minutes, 9.3 seconds. He has also won the Masterson and the Missouri Southern Stampede this season.

Kibet is the only Blue Dragon to ever earn a national runner of the week award.
