Hutchinson CC Sports Information

Two team victories in the final three tournaments of the fall season as the Hutchinson Community College men's golf team at its highest ranking of the 2019-20 season.

The Blue Dragons complete the fall season ranked in a tied for third place in the latest rankings. The Dragons are No. 4 in the Bushnell/GolfWeek Division I NJCAA Rankings.

Hutchinson won both the Kansas City Fall Invitational and Park University Tournament and then closed the fall season with a fifth-place showing at the NJCAA National Preview in Odessa, Texas. The Blue Dragons had four Top 5 finishes in five fall tournaments this season.

Ranger College moves into the No. 1 spot after winning the National Preview. Previous No. 1 Midland falls to No. 2. Hutchinson and Odessa are tied for third and New Mexico Junior College is fifth.

Other District III teams to be ranked are Indian Hills at No. 6, Iowa Western at No. 10, Garden City at No. 12 and Dodge City at No. 16. Kansas City and Barton are receiving votes.

The Blue Dragons will open the 2020 spring season at the Luc Chap Classic March 9-10 in Lubbock, Texas. Hutch's three Jayhawk Conference tournaments will be at Colbert Hills, Sand Creek Station and Crestview South. The District III Championship will be at Crestview North in Wichita.
