The Jayhawk Conference's oldest and one of the fiercest rivalries renews itself for the 190th time when the No. 8 Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team and Butler Grizzlies play on Saturday.

Game time at the Hutchinson Sports Arena is 7:30 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450.98.5) at 7:20 p.m. with Glen Grunwald (play-by-play) and Rusty Hilst (analysis) calling the action. The game will also be streamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network at 7:20 p.m.

The Blue Dragons (11-1, 2-1 Jayhawk West) averted a 1-2 start to league play, rallying from six points down in the final 90 seconds to force overtime at Neosho County and defeat the Panthers 86-81 in Chanute.

Butler got off to an 8-2 start, but has dropped a pair of tough games in the last week. The Grizzlies lost 82-74 in overtime to Colby, and then fell 76-74 at Dodge City in a controversial finish where a potential game-tying dunk was wiped out after officials deemed the basket came after time ran out.

The Blue Dragons swept Butler last season, pulling off the biggest comeback in team history to snap one of those wins. The Blue Dragons trailed by as many as 26 points early in the second half at the Power Plant before rallying and getting a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer by All-American J.J. Rhymes.

The Dragons defeated Butler 79-68 at the Sports Arena last season.

The Blue Dragons enter play on Saturday averaging 95.1 points per game while allowing 72.2 points. Hutch averaged 78.7 points offensively and 70.0 points defensively in Jayhawk Conference games.

Butler averages 77.9 points offensively and 68.4 points defensively. Those numbers are 69.3 points offensively and 70.3 points defensively.

Saturday's game will be the final home game of the first semester. The Blue Dragons return to action after New Years on January 3 at Allen and will be back at the Sports Arena on January 12 against Cowley.
