Hutchinson CC Sports Information

Coming off a 2-0 week, the Hutchinson Community College basketball team remains No. 16 in this week's NJCAA Division I Basketball Rankings, released on Tuesday.

On the brink of their 52nd 20-win season in program history, the 19-4 Blue Dragons defeated Neosho County 105-95 and Colby 67-62 in the last rankings period. At 15-4 in the Jayhawk Conference, the Blue Dragons and Coffeyville are tied for second place one game behind Barton.

The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 40 consecutive polling periods and for the 71st time in the last 72 polling periods.

Barton dropped four spots to No. 11 after a mid-week loss to Cowley last Wednesday. Coffeyville extended its winning streak to seven games and moved up to No. 17, right behind the Blue Dragons.

The Top 5 this week remained the same. Northwest Florida State is No. 1, followed by Indian Hills, Vincennes, Florida Southwestern State and Odessa College.

The Blue Dragons have a pair of home games this week beginning with Garden City on Wednesday and Butler on Saturday. Both games are at 7:30 p.m.
