Vince Reiss is Hutchinson’s new defensive ends coach for the Blue Dragons in 2019, but it’s not his first stop in the Jayhawk Conference.

Previous to Hutch, Reiss was the defensive line coach at Dodge City Community College. Reiss added a pair of All-KJCCC players to his resume.

In 2017, Reiss coached at Santa Monica College as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. In his one season at Santa Monica, Reiss mentored one all-conference player running back Christoph Hirota.

Before that, Reiss was at the University of La Verne from 2013 to 2017. Coaching a variety of position groups at ULV, Reiss was part of a 2015 SCIAC conference championship. He coached seven all-league players while at ULV.

Before his coaching career, Reiss prepped for four years at Damien High School in La Verne. After Damien High School, Reiss then attended De Anza College, where he played for two seasons and helped lead the team to a Coast Conference Championship and a Southern Division Bowl in 2009. Reiss then transferred and finished his playing career at Curry College.

Reiss has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Curry College and also earned a Master's Degree in Business Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne.
