The Hutchinson Community College Athletic Department will have a news conference at on Wednesday – college football national letter of intent day – where All-American receiver/return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson will announce what university he will choose to play for next season.

Patterson will make the announcement at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Gallery Theater in the Stringer Fine Arts Center on the campus of Hutchinson Community College. HCC head coach Rion Rhoades will also announce where other Blue Dragon 2012 sophomores will play next season.

Patterson, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound receiver from Rock Hill, S.C., is ranked by several recruiting services as the No. 1 junior college recruit in the nation this season.

Patterson, the 2011 Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Year, owns 15 career or single-season or single-game Blue Dragon Dragons records. This season, Patterson caught a career-high 61 passes for 924 yards and he accounted for 1,814 all-purpose yards in helping the Salt City Bowl champion Blue Dragons to a 9-3 record.
